Kalua Pork

Jessie Ena demonstrated this delicious dish at the February Enrichment night.

2.5 pounds pork (doesn’t matter the cut as long as there is not too much fat on it)
2 Tbs. Liquid Smoke
Salt to taste

Rub the meat with the liquid smoke, then the salt. Wrap the meat with foil. Fill your baking pan with 6 cups of water then put your wrapped meat in the pan and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, then drop it to 300 degreet for another 1 ½ hours. It can go in a crock pot just like any other meat. It’s a good recipe for big parties. The secret is the liquid smoke. It will make the meat taste and smell like it was baked in a UMU!
